Vidya Bhavan is a Pro-life, Non-profit, Non-political, Humanitarian and Secular Development Organization. Established on 22nd January 2018 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It has emerged in response to the qualitative need for the empowerment of the orphan, poor, needy and the abandoned section of the society. It is realized by its founding member Mr. Mohan Reddy N.(Bosco) and his friends. We operate on the governing tenets of equitable development and inclusive growth and Empowerment of humanity.
Our work is directed by the realization and philosophy that all children, women and men have the basic right to dignity and self determination and that all people should have the opportunity and choice of enhancing their own potential and well-being. The developmental programmes we implement, combine the potential of state welfare schemes to address societal concerns with the experience of social sector experts, in order to positively impact and empower lives.
Our main areas of work are outlined below.
Vidya Bhavan collaborates with the Government both state and central on many of its projects on child development and Humanity at large.
‘Makkala Mane’ - The Children’s Home
We provide education, food, shelter and clothing for children who are orphans, abandoned, neglected and poor. For this purpose we have designed Children Homes where the overall development of the children takes place. The children begin their day by praising God for the gift of another new day. Every day is made special by learning Yoga, Karate, various Academic subjects, Dance, Music, News and Recreation. The day ends by thanking God for the wonderful day. We adhere to the value that the children have to be empowered because they affect the eternity.
‘Namma Mane’ – Our Home
Namma Mane is an outreach service, where we establish learning environment in slums and villages. We run free Tuition centers and ensure that the desire for learning is fostered. We strongly believe and convinced that only through Education we can bring about the desired change in the society. For us Education means ‘Drawing out the Best in the Children.’
